The workflow

Last day of the year was really warm (I was wearing my autumn coat!), and the little snow that was on the ground was melting and giving me a loving fog in the Old Port of Montreal. The atmosphere was very eerie, and I tried to do as little as possible to undo that atmosphere. Of course, since everything was pretty much monochrome and lacking any colour to make it into black-and-white pictures. Did I do too much? Very possibly, I need to go back to re-edit, possibly lower the exposure. On a composition note, I like the people at the back of the picture coming out of the fog, like ghosts. //

Dernier jour de l'année, il faisait vraiment chaud (je portais mon manteau d'automne !), et le peu de neige qui se trouvait au sol fondait, enveloppant le Vieux-Port de Montréal d'un brouillard aimant. L'atmosphère était très étrange, et j'ai essayé de ne pas trop en faire pour ne pas la détruire. Bien sûr, puisque tout était à peu près monochrome et manquant de couleur, j'ai décidé d'en faire une photo en noir et blanc. En ai-je trop fait ? Très probablement, je pourrais revenir sur l’édition de cette photo, baisser l’exposition entre-autres. Pour ce qui est de la composition, j'aime les gens à l'arrière de la photo sortant du brouillard, comme des fantômes.
