The workflow

I’m always looking at reflections wherever they are. Fortunately, modern architecture really likes mirrors and glass in general. Here, I pointed the camera up, and I found these reflections looking down at by-passers. I, as one can see on the original RAW file, underexposed purposely by 1 or 2 stops while waiting for the right person in the right position to pass by. And the reason I underexposed the mirrored part is the brightness of the building in the sun and how the digital camera reacts to overexposure. I thought a post-processing favouring high contrasts was the way to go, in black and white of course. //

Je regarde toujours les reflets peu importe où ils se trouvent. Heureusement, l’architecture moderne aime beaucoup les miroirs et le verre en général. Alors, j'ai pointé la caméra vers le haut et j'ai trouvé ces reflets reproduisant les passants. Comme on peut le voir sur le fichier RAW original, j'ai volontairement sous-exposé de 1 ou 2 stops le bâtiment au soleil à cause de la façon dont l'appareil photo numérique réagit à la surexposition. J'ai pensé qu'une édition privilégiant les haute contrastes était mon style, en noir et blanc bien sûr.
