The workflow
Patience is a quality that still evades me. Usually, I’m very much a shoot-and-go type of photographer. I want the scene; I don’t want to influence the scene. I don’t want people to notice me hanging around and wondering who’s the creep with the camera. I’m just a photographer, but if my presence is changing people’s attitudes, then I’m failing.
But sometimes I can spare a few more seconds to catch the right moment. Like here, it’s not a gigantic gesture, but it does make a difference. It connects two strangers waiting for the same bus within the image with just a look.//
